Hill mile Challenge. Just as small group. This is more a race with yours self. You predict a time the person with the slowest time starts first. The person with the fastest perdiction starts last. The person that crosses the finish line first wins. I perdicted a 6:00 with my conditioning I felt was realistic. About 2.5 laps of 4 I was on a 5:40 pace. I need to work on my conditioning. I finished in 6:01. I warmed up and cool down, then went back to work. A nice benifit of working at Hill is I get 3 hours of (paid) personal fitness time a week. Its nice. My feet are starting the feel ok about running again. I am trying to add miles back slowly. |

| Ran the Red Rock Relay. I ran legs 4 and 10. The first leg was 5.5 miles I ran it in 47:18 a 8:36 average. I am out of shape. The second leg was 7.3 miles I averaged a 6:54 average. The first mile was pretty steep up hill then the next 6 was pretty steep down hill. About 2 miles into my second run and noticed my feet were heating up. By the time I finished both feet hurt. When I finished I had a blister that covered my left heal and a popped blister that covered y right heal. |

Today I wasn't sure what to expect. My training has been OK but I wasn't feeling very fast. Since last year, that I ran one of the best races of my life. A lot of things have happened. I had to deal with an injury. Started a new Job OK 3 new jobs. Two of the jobs were short term jobs. I have moved from Brigham City to Clinton Utah. I was hoping to use this race ase a yard stick race. I didn't messure up very well.
I started out by getting up at 3:00 am and driving to Logan. I didn't feel that great driving or riding the bus up. I use the port a potties then relax a little. I warm up by running a mile. The mile felt hard. I find the hiden port a potties and then go to the starting line.
Running down the canyon the pace felt hard, I might of started a little to fast. I was not able t run fast during the part with the tail wind. On Hollow road my legs when to jello I am almost ashamed how slow the last 4 miles were. When I finished I couldn't hardly breath. I had the wirst cough. It hurt my chest when I coughed. I couldn't stop, I sounded like a smoker.
After I recovered I went back out and ran my wife and three sister in laws in. I ran the last mile to half mile 4 times.

Today I ran what at work is called the mile challange. Its a small group of people at work that get together the last thursday of each month. We all perdict a time. If one person perdicts a 7:00 mile and someone else a 8:00. The person declaring the 8:00 starts a minute before the person that perdicts a 7:00. The first person to cross the finishline wins. I perdicted a 5:40 which I though was a huge stretch goal after running the top of utah half on saturday then running over 30 miles this week already. Today, when I got to the track I found out three people had perdicked a 5:40. We where the last three runners to start. The first lap I was behind the other two runners, but the pace was way to fast. At the end of the second lap I over take the other two and then run trying to catch the other runners a head of us. My pace dropped off a little but I felt stronger then I figured I would. I ended up coming in 2 seconds ahead of my perdiction and three seconds behind the winner.

I was planning on running with Kam and AnglieB, when I woke up and 4:00am to a loud thunder right outside my house. I continue to hear and see lightning and thunder. I end up chichening out and call Kam and tell him that I am not coming. At about 6:00 I was a wake It was still raining but no thunder and lightning. I decide to go running anyway and call Kam and Tell him I was coming. I drive over to huntsville. I am so glad I went. The conditions couldn't of been better. We started out and I was pushing the pace a little. I wanted to take advantage of the down hill to get some marathon pace miles in. When the course leveled out I was having trouble keeping the pace up and Kam and AnglieB gapped me. The last few miles was around Huntsville park and back to the car. I think this is one of the fastest 22 miles runs I have ever run. Thanks to Kam and AnglieB for allowing me to come along.

This is my slowest St George I have ever run. I have no excesses. The weather was great. I came into the race knowing my conditioning was not what it was last year. Giving my conditioning best case perfect race was sub 3. I ran the first half in 1:30:30 and felt I could negative split the second half. I had trouble really running well down the hills. I hit the 20 mile mark at 2:18:30 a 6:54 average. I tried to run fast in the 21st and 22st mile by I was still missing the upper end speed. At mile 24 I hit the wall, mile 25 was a 8:30 mile. I sprinted into the finish to just come before the 3:05 pacers. |

| 2 miles. The first mile was pretty slow, just warm up for the fast mile. The fast mile was on a mile challange. Most of the time the mile challange is run on the track but today the track is covered in snow. So we did the mile on a section of road. The road was wet and pretty flat. I had declared a 5:35 mile. With wearing "pants", and two shirts and legs still not feeling very fresh from the marathon I know 5:35 was a pipe dream. I ended up running a 5:58. I felt pretty good about the run. When I finished I felt like I could of run at that pace for longer but I just couldn't speed up. |

| Hill 5K that was a little short but I ran a PR on. Race started cross the street from the Warrior. I got off work and got changed and pretty much went strait to the starting line. At the starting line they anounced the first place man and woman would get a turkey, no other awards were given. The race started and one guy went to the front, then another when passed my and the two ran side by side for the first 3/4 of a mile. I was about 50 feet behind the runners. At about a mile into the race I passed the second place runner. As I was coming around the pond I started catching the first place runner. With about a mile to go I catch the first place runner and pass him for a short time. With about 3/4 of a mile to go I go into first place and hold it for the next quarter of a mile. I so wanted to win this race. With about a half mile to go he passes me back and I am not able to match his kick. He ends up beating me by about 10 seconds. I need to work on my kick, I should of won this race. |

11.45 miles in 1:34:39 a 8:16 average. This was a small yassor 800 workout. I wanted to do 8 repeats but after 6 I wasn't hitting my splits any more so I ended the workout. I ran up to the track about 3.5 miles at 8:20 average then did 6 repeats then ran back.

| Ran for 1:20:00 around a track that was 10 lap per mile. Every few minutes I would time 5 laps and they were always between 3:30 and 3:45 minutes. I am not sure which is mentally harder running on a small track or a treadmill. I might of run farther than 10 miles but there was no way I could keep track of 100 laps. |

This was a mixed workout. I started out by running 11:20 on a small track then spent 1:06:00 on an elliptical and treadmill. The ran another 10 minutes on the track. I then did 150 situps. |
