Run a 10K in under 38 minutes Personal: I am a 37 year old Male. I have been married now for over 15 years. I have three kids, all boys. My boys ages are 14, 11 and 7. This was a speed workout. I have a lot of work to do. I ran 3.5 miles warm up. I ran up to the track, then I ran 9 400's with times 1:20 to 1:26. with a 200 jog inbetween. Then I jogged back to my building and went home. |

| 10.15 miles in 1:17:38 a 7:39 average. This was an out and back course. I averaged a 7:40 miles for the out part, then turned around and averaged a 7:38 for the run back. The trip back is slightly up hill. I increased the effort a bit. |

| Hill 5K that was a little short but I ran a PR on. Race started cross the street from the Warrior. I got off work and got changed and pretty much went strait to the starting line. At the starting line they anounced the first place man and woman would get a turkey, no other awards were given. The race started and one guy went to the front, then another when passed my and the two ran side by side for the first 3/4 of a mile. I was about 50 feet behind the runners. At about a mile into the race I passed the second place runner. As I was coming around the pond I started catching the first place runner. With about a mile to go I catch the first place runner and pass him for a short time. With about 3/4 of a mile to go I go into first place and hold it for the next quarter of a mile. I so wanted to win this race. With about a half mile to go he passes me back and I am not able to match his kick. He ends up beating me by about 10 seconds. I need to work on my kick, I should of won this race. |
