Personal:

I am a 37 year old Male.  I have been married now for over 15 years.  I have three kids, all boys.  My boys ages are 14, 11 and 7.  I have always enjoyed running and my wife is slowly being converted.   While I was going through college I didn't do much running so I am having to teach my leg how to run fast again.

8.5 miles in about 1:09:?? a 8:10 average.  Ran to the Turkey trott course the ran the course and ran back.  I started the run at about 8 oclock PM so I was dark.  I was running on the sidewalk about a mile to go when I found the uneven spot in the side walk and took a nose dive.  Not much happened except skinning my knee.  Teach me to run on the side walk.

6 miles on the frontage road I didn't time this run.  My legs are tired.  I am pushing my fitness right now.

Ran the Mantua Spooktacular in 21:35.  When I signed up for the run I was thinking it would be my first race after the injury.  I ended up running a race 2 weeks ago that I jumped into so it was my second race.   I had hoped that I would be able to win the race because I thought it would be a small race and 3 days after state so no Highschool runners.  It would take a lot to win this race because of my lack of conditioning and not tappering for the race.  I picked up the shirt and started to warm up.  Then I see one runner I have no chance of beating.  Mitch Zundal is in the race.  Mitch wins the race by a long way.  I was about 50 to 100 yards behind 3rd place the whole race.  My legs were feeling pretty tired the hollow race and there was some pretty good hills coming out of the camp ground.  I just don't have any speed in my legs right now.  So this race was a good speed workout and I will take that.
